The Color Collective : January Edition

The Color Collective by Kari Beckett Design - January Edition 2025

The Color Collective

We are thrilled to introduce the premiere issue of The Color Collective, our new monthly newsletter series! Each month, we will share hand-selected home and fashion items that highlight our featured color – curated to enhance Refined Everyday Living.

CREAM : the subtle standout in design, bringing warmth, depth and timeless appeal to any space.

January is the perfect time for a fresh start — a chance to reset, tuck away the holiday decor and embrace the cozy weather of the winter months ahead. Let’s dive in!

Sherwin Williams Shoji White

Shoji White by Sherwin Williams is the ideal neutral cream—a soft, warm shade that’s perfect for creating a serene, all-over wall color. In our opinion, it’s simply beautiful! We’ve recently been incorporating this stunning hue into many of our design projects at Kari Beckett Design. (Shoji White – SW 7042)

The LED Table Lamp

Checking off the cute box is this small adorable Makar LED table lamp. These lamps are incredibly functional – perfect for nightstands, kitchen counters, bookshelves, coffee tables, side tables and desks.

What we love most is that these lamps are dimmable, with customizable color options. We have several placed throughout our home.

The Fur-Collar Coat

Classic, chic and warm this Fur-Collar Tie Wasted Coat has it all. Can be dressed up for date night or down for everyday errands. A “must add to cart immediately” staple piece.

The Saint Laurent Handbag

The quality of YSL handbags speak for themselves but this sweet number is the crème de la crème. The quilted, shearling design of the Small Sade Quilted Genuine Shearling Tube Bag is just too good!

The Pendant Lamp

The Marta Mini Ceiling Lamp has just the right amount of detail for transitional or traditional style homes. The brass feature and ivory colored glass shade would make a nice statement in a hallway or small entry space with 8′ ceilings.

The CLE Tile Limestone Tile

Natural stone is an absolute YES. Always. The shape of these CLE Tile Fluted Etui Limestone is stunning. This creamy white stone has beige flecks throughout. Measuring at 1.25″ x 6″ x 0.5″ this tile looks incredible stacked either vertically or horizontally.

The New Zealand Wool Rug

100% an investment piece but WOW what a beauty! The fluffy cut pile New Zealand Wool has incredible texture and pattern design. The Wilder by The Rug Company had to be included in this month’s The Color Collective issue for obvious reasons meeting our elevated standard of quality, beauty and function.

The Terracotta Jug

This double handled white terracotta jug is such a versatile piece for decorating your home. Can be placed by itself, styled with other pottery pieces, or as a vase for fresh floral arrangements. The possibilities are endless!

The Boucle Swivel Chair

Boucle has had a major moment the last few years in the design industry, some experts say it is on it’s way out but our opinion is textured fabrics will always have a place in our homes. Swivel chairs are huge right now and for good reason, they are comfortable, practical and come in many different shapes and styles. We are smitten with the curves on the Medoc Swivel Chair by Crate and Barrel in the boucle cream color, Tapioca.

The Orb Stone Vase

This cream orb stone vase has elements that pair nicely with other bookshelf decor. It’s a great size to place your favorite plant on a side or console table too.

The Upholstered Dining Chair

The Brussels Metal Upholstered Dining Side Chair from Crate & Barrel elevates the dining experience with a classic metal frame and unique upholstered barrel back design with a seamless seat cushion.  This style of chair is a fresh upgrade to any dining space.

The Droplet Ceramic Door Knob

We could see these droplet door knobs being used on a bathroom vanity or bedroom dresser.  We love the unique shape paired with brass and cream colored ceramic materials.

The Free People Leather Boots

We couldn’t resist including these fashion forward, decorative metal toed Free People Brayden Western Boots to this edition of The Color Collective. Pair these with your favorite jeans, t-shirt and leather jacket and you’ll fit right in with the Cowgirl Chic trend.
